Human Rights Watch condemns repeated human rights violations in South Sudan

Renewed fighting in Unity state, has renewed memories of the horrific violence witnessed in early 2014, when villages were burnt and thousands of civilians forced to flee into swamps as the fighting forces pursued their way southward through Unity state.

On Monday, the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (#UNMISS) released a short statement saying they had received reports of villages being burned, women and girls being raped and abduction of children.
