Primary and nursery age children are being taught the importance of standing up and moving about - so they can prevent the diseases of old age. One in ten children starting primary schools is clinically obese, so the Active Movement project has been teaching them how to embed low level exercise into their daily life. The findings of their pilot study will be presented at the National Day Nurseries Association Conference tomorrow.
