Teacher sick days on the rise. Is the job becoming too stressful?

Teacher sick days have increased according to new information for the department of education. The average number of days lost - per teacher due to sickness now stands at 8.4!
Is this too high? Or perhaps a sign that our teachers are under increasing pressures in their jobs?
