Lhedli T'enneh Memorial Park

Fort George Park is no more. The Nechako and Fraser Rivers now merge at Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park in Prince George. The name acknowledges the park as the site of a Lheidli burial ground, as well as a village that was burned to make way for the railway. The change was celebrated as part of National Aboriginal Day festivities.
