South Salt Lake cancels traditional fireworks show

South Salt Lake cancels its traditional fireworks show that's part of the annual Freedom Festival on the grounds of the old Granite High School. The city asserts that while the city was negotiating to sell the property, the district left them no time to properly prepare a show. However, district officials say the city has always and will continue to have access to the property, for the fireworks show, as long as the district has ownership of the property.
