My Week in a Song for Week #27 of 2015

SONG SUNG BLUE words and music by Neil Diamond. It's cool to revisit this song since I was part of the kids choir on the original record back in '72. We sang to a blank track and I remember the vocal contractor explaining that we shouldn't try to sound too happy. He said it wasn't a commercial so we didn't have to sell it! So funny that we all knew what he meant. I love hearing that song on the radio though I didn't really feel the sadness of the verses until I played it on my uke.

Recorded on June 29, 2015 in Santa Monica, CA on my very first ukulele, the one I bought at Costco in Kauai one year ago this week!
