Here's London's Godfather of acoustic punk Dave Russell This one of Daves most requested poems "Hades W10" in which Dave gives his dystopian view of the crime ridden late night bus service in the Notting Hill area of London he lives. Dave often returns home late after gigs and the media coverage and what one witnesses or is possibly subjected to with criminal goings on ion the buses in the late hours is enough to leave anybody with a similar view. Dave Russell a retired English Teacher was born in Wolverhampton in the English midlands in 1947 the son of an itinerant factory inspector. Dave grew up in Middlesborough in the North East of England where his slight accent originates.He has lived in London since the early 1960's and has performed his poetry and songs starting as he says with country blues very much in vogue during the rediscovery of this musical genre during his formative years all over London. Now in his 70's Dave still gets out there and performs regularly to live audiences.He lives for the excitement of witnessing a live audiences reaction to his unique never to be copied performances of his own original material and covers.In recent years he has become known as a talented writer of romantic erotica.
