The Parades Commission yesterday barred a Twelfth parade from returning along part of the Crumlin Road in north Belfast for the third year in a row. Last year the decision caused talks at Stormont to collapse with fears power sharing could be at risk. There was also a joint unionist statement promising a "graduated response". In comparison the reaction this year has been much more low key with optimism that it will be a peaceful Twelfth.

Is this a positive sign that the two communities are closer to finding a lasting resolution? #BBCNolan
