Stage 14 | Cummings stuns the French at Mende

July 18 | This edition of the Telegraph Cycling Podcast comes from the airfield at Mende where Britain's Steve Cummings secured a first Tour de France stage win for the South African MTN-Qhubeka team on Mandela Day.

After getting into the day's big break, Cummings rode a brilliantly-measured race, judging his effort on the steep climb in Mende and catching Frenchmen Romain Bardet and Thibaut Pinot on the flat run-in to the finish line.

But the day was overshadowed by the news that Chris Froome said he had a cup of urine thrown over him by a spectator during the Tour.

Richard Moore, Lionel Birnie and Daniel Friebe discuss Cummings' stage win and the fragile pact between Tour de France riders and spectators following the incident with Froome, and the news that his Sky team-mate Richie Porte had been punched by a fan, as revealed by the Telegraph Cycling Podcast.
