Water Crisis hits Maridi

The old adage, “water is life” is slowly losing meaning for the residents of Maridi County in Western Equatoria state.

Water taps have run dry and many people are going for days without water while several others have resorted to drawing water from unclean sources.

The Assistant Commissioner for Water in Maridi Daniel Wudada, says there is growing fear about an outbreak of water borne diseases. Wudada spoke to our reporter in WES, Francis Felix Katie.
