Day 5 and the final day of Kent Heroes with Kent Reliance. The surprise awards have seen us travel from one end of Kent to the other and today we found ourselves in Sandwich to meet the most nominated person of the year.

Now we should say now, that although this very special person received the most awards; that is not why she won!

Take a read of just one of the awards we received about Victoria Day

“Victoria Day spends the majority of her free time volunteering for the Red Cross, the local ambulance service; as well as working in a residential home for people with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. She spends hours and hours every week doing this, all while she was doing her A-Levels.

A typical day for Victoria is volunteering from 5-8:30am at the residential home then school from 9-3:30/4:30 and then back to work again after school.

I honestly feel that Victoria deserves this award for all the times she has helped people before herself and she rarely gets recognition for it.

So this award will be a great way to show her that she is appreciated.”

Now Victoria was asked by a friend to wait in at home on Friday for a ‘parcel’; which ended up being Rob Wills from kmfm drivetime!
