Now Here's My Chanticlere!

I decided not to play their version of Brigg Fair because I figured you folks would rather not have the same song twice in the same day. But after singing its praises so much, I had to show you how wonderful this group really is. Many, many thanks go to @ladyofthe_lake , who, knowing that I couldn't get access to my CDs and guessing that it would make me feel better, surprised me by gifting me with a digital copy of this much-loved collection of folksongs from around the world. It did make me feel better - immensely so! Don't worry folks; I really do own a physical copy of the album, so we're not exchanging elicit music or something. :-) Anyhow, this is a medley of American folksongs. I couldn't decide whether to play this, Dulaman (an Irish Gaelic song and another favourite), or Loch Lomand. But I decided upon this because it lasts longer and showcases the talents of this all-male chamber choir quite well. The medley consists of the following songs. If you need an explanation of what any of them mean, feel free to ask. Oh Sinner Man - Negro spiritual I Ride an Old Paint - Carl Sandberg Cripple Creek - Ozark folk song Sally Gooden - traditional folksong and famous blue-grass fiddle tune All the Pretty Little Horses - Negro lullaby Dog Tick - children's song Cumberland Gap - Appalachian folk song
