Tea at Two

There is a tradition In my building that afternoon tea is held in the common room every Wednesday at two. Any of the tenants who can come are welcome. Thanks to the beauty of Audioboom, you can join me as I make my way downstairs to see who's there, almost kill my Olympus in the process when it falls out of my pocket onto a hard concrete floor, and then end up having to relate an embarrassing incident in which I accidentally veered into traffic earlier today. I had a seizure this morning, recovered quite quickly and thought I was going to be okay to go out to the store, but I ended up getting a bit disoriented when crossing the road. One of the tenants from the building saw me and actually helped me in a really nice, levelheaded way. He didn't freak out; he just told me to go to my right and that I'd find the curb there. So all's well that ends well, but people at tea-time ended up hearing about it. Oh dear. Hopefully they'll realize this sort of thing doesn't happen often. :-) Anyway, sorry for the rustlage of the mics; I haven't yet found a fool-proof way of carrying the Olympus unobtrusively without causing the mics to rustle on my clothing. Alas, I think the Olympus has pretty much been rendered unusable by my stupidity; it only records with one microphone now, as you will see if you keep listening. I thought it would stay in my pocket as I walked along, but it had a different idea and managed to slide out somehow. Maybe you won't consider this Boo post-worthy as a result, but I thought some of you might find it kind of funny anyway. #friends #gatherings #neighbours #Olympus #tea-time
