IGAD mediators: 'No further deadlines beyond 17 August'

IGAD mediators say there will be no further extension for a peace deal beyond next Monday, 17 August.

This was after government and opposition negotiating teams briefed the IGAD mediators on the progress of negotiations.

The teams power sharing rations, security arrangements and the structure of the government stand out as the 'deal breakers'.

Ambassador Seyoum Mesfin, chairperson of the IGAD special envoys for South Sudan says there will be no further extension.
