'Das Reboot' author Raphael Honigstein reveals that the German FA saw Jürgen Klinsmann as a last resort when they hired the former Bayern striker to be the national team's head coach. Klinsmann would later take Germany to the semi finals of the 2006 World Cup following defeat to Italy.

Raphael Honigstein's book 'Das Reboot' on German football's evolution is out on Sept 3rd.
