Music I Loved When I was a Teenager and Still Enjoy Today

I used to have this album on, groan and gasp, a cassette! Well, thanks to the geniuses that invented iTunes and the God that gave them their brains, and also thanks to @ladyofthe_lake who gave me an iTunes gift card for my birthday, I finally have it once again: this time on my phone and on my computer. I thought it was high time I introduced you non-Canucks to some great Canadian folk music, so here we go. This is a Celtic medley by the Rankin Family from their self-titled album of 1989. I wasn't sure whether to play this or the Lament of the Irish Immigrant, which I also adore, but I figured this way you'd get more of their voices. But if you like this sort of thing, do give the other song a preview; the lady that sings it sounds like an angel! #Canadian #Celtic #folk #Gaelic #music #RankinFamily
