Edinburgh Council says Unison's claim - that 3 thousand jobs are going - is an exaggeration.
Bosses have told Heart though - 2 thousand posts WILL be shed as a result of budget cuts.
Our reporter Connor Gillies asked Finance Committee Convener Alistair Rankin why it's taken 24 hours for the council to clarify its position.
