It was a business week dominated once again by the Volkswagen emissions scandal as more details of test-rigging emerged. But there was also a deal reached in what has been described as the biggest free trade agreement for a generation. The Trans-Pacific Partnership involves 12 countries along the Pacific Rim and supporters of the deal say it will boost their economies, but not everyone agrees. We discuss these stories, and the growth in sales of printed books in Britain, with Ed McBride, the Finance Editor of the Economist, and with Peter Coy, Economics Editor of Bloomberg Businessweek.
