Republican and loyalist paramilitaries are still very much here in the new Northern Ireland. That was the official assessment released in the report by the Police and MI5 earlier this week.
There's been much discussion about the continued existence of the IRA's army council. On loyalists, the report paints a picture of paramilitaries up to their necks in crime - including extortion, drug dealing smuggling and paramilitary assaults.
