PART 1: World leaders have agreed 17 new #GlobalGoals for Sustainable Development that will drive efforts to end poverty over the next 15 years. But what will this mean in practice?

To mark CARE International’s 70th anniversary, a panel discussion was held on 23 October 2015 to explore what the implications of the new Global Goals for Sustainable Development are for aid in the future.

What will a CARE package look like post 2015? How will the Global Goals be implemented by aid actors? – whether this be civil society, governments, donors, academia, or private sector actors.

On the panel:

David Hallam (@DFID_David), Director for International Finance and former Director UK Envoy Post-2015 Goals, DFID

Nelson Muffuh (@nmuffuh), Head of Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement, Post-2015 Development Planning Unit, UN. @nmuffuh)

Serena Brown (@SerenaB2013), Senior Manager, Global Development Initiative, KPMG

Gaia Gozzo (@gaiagozzo), Head of Governance, CARE International UK

The session was facilitated by Eliza Anyangwe (@ElizaTalks), freelance writer and commissioning editor for the Guardian.
