#Octaver Day 23: Planes, Trains or Automobiles - Convoy by C. W. McCall

My dad used to drive truck for a living when I was a sprog, and sometimes I would go with him. Those were usually the times when I was closest to him, So any song about trucking usually has very fond associations for me. Dad didn't have a CB radio, but a trucking simulator came with some other games on a DOS-based computer I got when I was a teenager, so I learned all the CB terms that way. Then I went on to play Jim Kitchen's various incarnations of the same simulator, which he enhanced with sound files. Bears and smokies refer to policemen. I thought this would be a fun song to post for this topic. I couldn't decide between it and the Little Train Who Said Ah-Choo by Anne Lloyd and the Sandpipers, but I thought people might find this one funnier. Perhaps I'll post the other one another time. #CWMcCall #Convoy #music #Octaver #trucking
