Maridi Youth want Dodgeball recognized as a tool for Peacebuilding

Popular amongst young girls all over the world, dodge ball locally known as 'barubaru' is now being fronted as tool for peace in South Sudan.
The Maridi Youth Association is leading efforts to have 'barubaru' recognized as a national sport to build bridges of peace, in addition to its role in fitness and gender empowerment.
On Sunday the Maridi Youth Association held a tournament in Gudele II, in the outskirts of Juba, to kick start its efforts to publicize the game.
Thomas Titus Bazia is the chairperson of the association.
