Truckloads of commodities arrive at Nimule customs point

President Salva Kiir in his address to the nation last week said the government had secured funds and contracted credible companies to purchase commodities to address market shortages.
The Directorate of Trade and Commerce under the Ministry of Finance says truckloads of items have already been purchased and are at the Nimule customs point awaiting clearance.
Undersecretary Biel Jock Thich said further steps are being taken to govern the importation of basic commodities brought in using government letters of credit or LCs.
