Alex Tighe talks to Gerald Slack on The History show about his new book. During the interview Gerald talks about the Stockton and Darlington railway and the history of the railway, how the railway changed the railways forever and how it changed South Durham. Gerald goes on to talk about how his book is based upon the first Five miles of the Stockton and Darlington railway from Phoenix Row to Shildon. The second area of the book is about how the modern day is brought into the book with GPS tracking codes.
