Domestic burglaries in NI on the up - what are police doing to tackle it? #BBCNolan

Have you ever had your home burgled? Well, it would seem to be a growing problem in Northern Ireland. The latest police figures show a 5.5% increase in domestic burglaries here. In the 12 months up to October 2015, there were 6,088 domestic burglaries - 316 more than the previous year. That's about 17 a day! There are also worrying figures about older people being targeted. Police have revealed there were 606 domestic burglary incidents and attempted burglaries where people were aged over 60 between April and August this year. That's compared to 445 the previous year.
