#Unite4Heritage campaign kicks off in South Sudan

Under the Patronage of the UN. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, or UNESCO, Hope society, a local NGO in Juba is launching a cultural gala designed to promote cultural heritage as a platform to foster intercultural and peace dialog in South Sudan.
South Sudan is one of the countries in the greater east African region that is considered to have a rich intangible cultural heritage enshrined in its diverse performing arts like dancing, music, and paintings.
Lydia Gachungi, UNESCO communications officer in South Sudan said the Unite 4 Heritage gala at the Nyakuron cultural centre will showcase the country’s different cultures and traditions.
