South Sudanese should practice tolerance and live according to the principle of unity in diversity instead of 'glorifying tribalism, to avoid a repeat of the ugly events of the past, the Bishop of the Episcopal Church of Sudan and South Sudan has cautioned.

Speaking to Miraya Breakfast Show, Bishop Daniel Deng Bul warned against tribalism and ethnic divisions, which he said could seriously threaten the country’s peace, security and stability.

“I wanted our government, the IO and every South Sudanese should not again let what happened in 2013, be a lesson to us and let that lesson be not to take us to kill other people. So I feel we have to say sorry for what we have done. We have killed people and we destroyed our wealth in this country we have handed ourselves to other people to play around us, that should become a lesson and then we come to the unity of our people.”
