Turkey faces big losses as Russia sanctions bite

When a Turkish warplane shot down a Russian jet bomber near the Syrian-Turkish border in November, the Russian President Vladimir Putin warned there would be consequences.

Last week he announced a broadening of sanctions which Russia introduced shortly after the incident, targeting tourism, construction, and the fruit and vegetable market. And Turkish traders are feeling the effects.
