UNMISS hosts I-O delegation meeting with IDP representatives

A section of SPLM-IO representatives held a meeting with community leaders from the UN Mission Protection of Civilians site in Juba.

The lead negotiator and head of the opposition delegation Taban Deng Gai, led the team of more than 12 to explain to the IDPs the progress in the peace process.

UNMISS as key partners to the peace process hosted the meeting at the UN Mission offices along Juba-Yei road.

The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General (SRSG) and head of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, Ms. Ellen Margrethe Loej was there and stressed mission’s commitment to supporting the implementation of the peace agreement.
