Controversy over probes into past actions of soldiers - @molloy1916 and @BeattieDoug discuss

Tim Collins, the former army colonel from Northern Ireland, has condemned probes into the past actions of soldiers. The News Letter reports that he described the current criminal investigation into Bloody Sunday as a "farce". He also hit out into investigations into past military actions in Iraq. It follows comments by David Cameron last week. The Prime Minister claimed "there is now an industry trying to profit from spurious claims lodged against our brave servicemen and women who fought in Iraq". It all raises the big question - how far should investigations go into past actions by the military.
