When did it become acceptable to FaceTime people on the Tube?

Call me old-fashioned but not so long ago it was traditional to share only one side of your private telephone conversation with fellow travellers on the Tube. Now there seems to be a growing trend of people using Skype, FaceTime or speakerphone setting with scant regard for anybody else overhearing. Am I alone in thinking this rather rude?
