World Radio Day Exclusive Interview with Ariane Quentier, UNMISS Spokesperson

World radio Day celebrates radio as a powerful medium of communication. The day is designed to improve international cooperation between broadcasters, encourage major networks and community radios alike, promote access to information, and freedom of expression.

The theme for World Radio Day this year is; Radio in Times of Emergency and Disaster.

To find out more about what role radio can play in community mobilization in South Sudan, Radio Miraya Breakfast show host Sani Martin talks to Ariane Quentier, spokesperson of the UN Mission in South Sudan. Ariane wrote a book about communicating with communities in times of disaster.
