UNMISS Weekly Press Briefing - 17 February 2016

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) held its weekly press briefing today.
UNMISS spokesperson Ariane Quentier presented a statement from the mission, urging SPLM-IO chairperson Riek Machar to return to Juba to form the Transitional Government of National Government.
Ms. Quentier also spoke on protection of civilians and occupation of schools by armed forces.
UNICEF Education Manager, Tizy Mavellala also spoke on a back-to-learning campaign.
The campaign targets 590,000 children across the country.
