UNMISS Update on Malakal

A new security plan has been adopted at the UN Protection of Civilian (PoC) site in Malakal, Upper Nile.

The plan is a result of consultations between the Peace and Security Council of the IDPs sheltering at the PoC site and UNMISS. It follows armed violence that took place on 17 and 18 February in the UN PoC site.

UNMISS spokesperson Ariane Quentier has an update the missions interventions in Malakal since the incident. She was speaking at the weekly UNMISS press briefing.
