The effect of the UK's new deal on Ireland

At the recent mammoth EU summit in Brussels on Feb 18-19 British Prime Minister David Cameron got his deal on the UK's "special status" relationship concerning it's future membership of the European Union. He will present this to the UK public ahead of the in-our or co-called Brexit referendum on June 23. However what could be the impact of this deal, as well as a possible "Brexit", on its ally and closest trading partner Ireland.
