Company Infantryman, Sam Mercer of The Gloucestershire Regiment

The Glorious Glosters were pitched into a far off conflict which arose from a division of Korea in 1950, a war between the Communist North and democratic state of South Korea;

The North was assisted by China and the Soviet Union. The South had a United Nations Force lead by the United States on their side.

Company Infantryman Sam Mercer fought in the Korean War as part of the Gloucestershire Regiment.
