Sam Mercer MBE fought in the Korean War with 1st Bn The Gloucestershire Regiment.
Over 700 soldiers fought in one of the most famous battles, The Battle Of Imjin.
A third were killed or wounded and 500 or so were taken prisoner. Sam was one of those, he wasn’t released for 2 and a half years.
