A Christian judge has been struck off after making controversial comments over same-sex adoption on national television. Magistrate Richard Page, was removed from his role of 15 years after comments made on TV after objecting to a gay couple adopting a child. The controversy came from an adoption case where he said a child would be better placed "with a mother and father" rather than with their gay prospective parents. The 69-year-old Christian had also implied previously that it was unnatural for a child to be brought up by a same-sex couple, for which he was disciplined.
