There's a new crosswalk sound in Prince George. It's called "The Canadian Melody" and it's been unrolling across the country as a replacement for the sounds of bird-chirping. The Canadian melody gets mixed reviews- one person called it "ear-splittingly annoying" - but it's effective, distinguishable to the widest range of human hearing possible. We speak to the inventor of the Canadian Melody, Douglas Gubbe of Novax Industries.
