A Planned Hotel Merger May Affect Loyalty Programs

Starwood has received a boosted 13.6 billion dollar buyout bid from Marriott International. The merger, if approved, would form the world's largest hotel company. But Brian Kelly, the Points Guy, tells the Wall Street Journal the deal could also negatively affect the rewards programs which are very popular with Starwood customers.
