Flash Floods in Pakistan Kill at Least 45

At least 45 people were killed and more than 30 others injured by floods in Pakistan on Sunday, officials said.

The flooding in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunwa province was prompted by torrential rain that began Saturday night, disaster-management official Latif ur Rehman told the Associated Press.

Rehman added that 34 people were admitted to the hospital with injuries, after the roofs of several rural houses reportedly collapsed.
