Hungry Sharks
Evil thoughts enslave the hearts Of those who seek the dark It chews and bites into the soul Like a pack of hungry sharks
Tearing into the goodness Until there is nothing left Vaporizing the kindness Where once was proudly kept
It’s like living inside a cave That holds no light of day Smothering all we’ve paved Evening losing faith to knell and pray
I dread the day I walked away From the living light Fooled by the one who swayed Calmly into my sight
Thoughts of love once closely held No longer does exist Smashed by the one who welds Oh how he does persists
In our stupor towards oblivion We feed the evil leeches Our minds our now oblivious To the ugliest of these creatures
Creeping upon a pathway to hell That takes us from all that’s good Sounds the horrors of tubular bells Seeking the brightness if only we could
Now that destiny has been cast The choice we had has gone astray We follow, we enter we’re giving a pass Much too late to even pray
Now all that’s left is this plight Contained in the frigid of the fold Without the brightness of the light We’ve lost our mortal souls
