Rotary Club

Today we sit down again with Curt Chapman, President of the Reno Rotary Club. We discussed the mission and purpose of Rotary International, their on-going programming, and specifically promoted their upcoming fundraiser: Mardi Gras 2016—the biggest, most festive, and longest running, Mardi Gras celebration in Nevada, happening again in Reno, on Fat Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the Reno Events Center. It’s a night of revelry, all for the benefit of local community non-profits. Local restaurants will be offering tasty bites, and dozens of wineries will be pouring a wide range of wine varietals! Local breweries will also be participating this year, serving up celebratory suds. The popular silent auction will be returning again this year, featuring unique items, and experiences including: art, wine, gift baskets, trips, spa, and golf packages. All proceeds are raised to fund community service projects that help improve quality of life, as well as educate, and train local youth.
