Anzac Day on BFBS

Today Amy Casey has been at the Cenotaph and Westminster Abbey for the ANZAC day service
Here Amy tells the story of The Anzacs and we hear from WW1 veterans , or Diggers as they are known in Australia and New Zealand and soldiers.
Jack Tarrant One of the “Boy Soldiers” Tarrant DCM medal winner was a Sergeant with 20 Battalion. Jack changed his age on his birth certificate to enlist with his brothers, Jack Thomas Glew (224), a trooper with the 13th Light Horse Regiment And Erle Joseph who was wounded and left on a hospital ship to Egypt.
