"Our strength lies in our unity"

President Salva Kiir sounded strong words of unity and reconciliation at the swearing in ceremony of Vice President Riek Machar.

The swearing in took place at the President's office - J1 in Juba shortly after Machar's return to Juba on Tuesday.
"I call upon our politicians and all the citizens of South Sudan to put their differences and personal interests aside for the sake of our hard won and independence, our people are tired of war and they need peace now"
