"I started cricket before rugby" - Two-sport man Pete Wilshaw

Peter Wilshaw, or the two-sport man, plays cricket for Staffordshire and rugby for Longton. By Michael McCann Wilshaw is a relic from a bygone era, where such behaviour was common. Wilshaw says he has played both sports since he was a youngster. Wilshaw has already scored a hundred for Staffordshire this season, after just finishing the rugby season with Longton, though has no doubts about which sport he prefers.

Wilshaw will be part of Staffordshire's search for cricketing silverware this summer, before moving straight back into rugby from September onwards.
