<i>Hamilton</i> Sets Record With 16 Tony Nominations

Hamilton, the Pulitzer Prize-winning hip-hop musical about founding father Alexander Hamilton set a new record when it raked in 16 Tony nominations on Tuesday morning.

The musical broke the record previously set by The Producers and Billy Elliot, which were tied for the most Tony nominations ever received by one show after netting 15 each.
