UNMISS does not recognize 28 States, says Margret Loej

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan does not recognize the 28 states, according UNMISS head in the Country.
The 28 states created by President Kiir in October 2015 remains a dispute between the peace partners.
Ellen Margret Loej told a news conference on Wednesday that the transitional government should urgently resolve the issue of the states’ in a peaceful manner.
Loej calls on South Sudanese to reconcile and work for peace and development of the country.
The parties to the agreement in March 2016 agreed to a proposal from IGAD Council of Ministers to tackle the question of 28 states within 30 days from the formation of the unity government.
