World Vision UK's Rob Henderson discusses findings of a new YouGov survey

International children’s charity World Vision UK is urging council authorities across Scotland to ‘pull out all the stops’ in finding homes for unaccompanied refugee children from Europe.

The call comes after a YouGov poll of British adults for the charity reveals that, of those in Scotland, most are supportive of refugee children in the UK.

The World Vision UK survey finds overwhelming public backing in Scotland for the government’s change of heart. Of those in Scotland, 59% support the decision to take more lone refugee children from Europe, compared to 31% who oppose it. Opinion is almost evenly split across Britain, with 43% of adults supporting allowing in unaccompanied refugee children, compared to 41% opposed.
