A judge cleared Baltimore Police Officer Edward Nero of all criminal charges Monday in the death of Freddie Gray, the first verdict in the six trials concerning Gray's death in police custody last year.

Nero, 30, was one of six officers involved in Gray’s arrest and one of three who were on bike patrol and chased Gray on April 12, 2015. Gray, who was black, died a week later from a severe spinal injury while in police custody.
